You see a man with medium length brown hair, and deep blue eyes. He stands at six foot one, and wears what remains of his blue-and-gold royal attire. A sheathed longsword lay across his back.
Aiden Kane was born into wealth, back in Europe. His father, a successful merchant and dear advisor to the King, made sure that his only son would receive the best education and the most lucrative opportunities.
Despite his wealth, Aiden rarely spent his time with the other wealthy heirs. In fact, he would often sneak away from the estate and dress in average clothes, meeting and talking with the commoners.
One aspect of his wealthy lifestyle he did take advantage of, however, was his education. He was able to go to the most prestigious schools in the country, and developed a particular interest in navigating, swordsmanship, and exploration. Writing and language also sparked Aiden's interest.
One day he was approached by an associate of his father's, who offered him a ship and crew to sail westward with. Kane agreed, however the associate passed away before he could follow through. Though his thirst for adventure was still there, and he decided to take a ship to the New World. Rather than borrow from his family to finance a ship and crew, he instead ran away one night, posing as a commoner, and boarded a ship bound for an unknown destination. He arrived at a brand new world - Shartak Island, and settled in the town of Durham. He currently spends his days wandering the islands and meeting new people.
He has not quite been able to accept the horrific practices of the people of Rakmogak Island, and has seemed to make himself an enemy to many of them. However, he has met a few of the cannibals whom he has deemed virtuous, despite the practices of their kind. In addition, he strongly opposes the YCC Laws, and seeks to put the militia in their place. All he wishes is for the people of Shartak, new and old, to co-exist in peace, even if that means he must fight to attain that goal. For a long while, he fought side by side with the Dalpoki people, against pirates invading the village. Though he has since left, his thoughts are still with the villagers. After hearing of an impending attack on Durham, Aiden travelled to the city to attempt to settle the conflict peacefully. He met with the Queen of Raktam, [profile]Blue Hummingbird[/profile], offering her a deal in exchange for peace. After several days of a tense ceasefire between the Durhamese and Raktami troops, Queen Hummingbird accepted his proposal, and the conflict ended with minimal casualties.
Kane has currently become a permanent resident of the island of New Durham, located off the coast of the western peninsula. Though small, the island is peaceful and serene.
