Description:
Before you is Blaktoof. A much traveled and ultimately lost man. He's seen many a place and time and his journey's yet begun.
On November 4th, 1992 Blaktoof and his crew of pirates commandeered the HS Leon, a cannon class destroyer escort traveling through the Gulf of Aden. The Greek ship had previously served as an American naval vessel, originally christened The U.S.S. Eldridge.
Upon hoisting the Jolly Roger on the ship's flag mast, Blaktoof once again rechristened the ship. This time it would go by the name MMS Devil's Bounty.
He and his outlaws set a course for Mogidishu with plans to work the waters for all their worth on the voyage back. Their first night aboard, the Devil's Bounty headed into a rare and unusual storm off the shores of Socotra. The crew thought little of it. Why would they? They had no knowledge of their new vessel's history.
Eyebrows among the crew were raised when their first pirating encounter en route home was with a fleet of Spanish Galleons.
One thing lead to another. In a short time it had become apparent that their new steerage possessed certain mysterious properties and that the crew had traveled to some place or perhaps even some time far away from their home.
Upon resigning himself to the unique curse their vessel carried, Blaktoof again rechristened her. This time calling her The Sea Tardis.
As word spread throughout the crew that the ship was cursed to travel through time as much as space, Blaktoof fell victim to a mutiny. The upshot of which was his washing upon the shores of Shartak.
Shark bitten, alone and starving, he found peers on the island around a shipwreck where he fought against native and pirate alike. Eventually his exploration of the island lead him to the Durham peninsula where he found citizenship among a rag-tag community of Europeans, natives and pirates. There he remains, whiling away his lost days in the Overlook Hotel steeling himself for a new purpose in a very strange and hostile land.

On Blaktoof's shoulder sits Subcomandante Chico. A bossy, foul mouthed parrot of unknown origin who has claimed to be the reincarnation of Itzcoatl. Occasionally he holds forth in what has been determined to be Nahuatl but he seems to favor speaking the Queen's
