i am cale hawkins, a hand under rum-eye bates, cap'n of the piorate ship 'THE FILTHY WHORE'. she scuttled into the rocks north here and is lost, with most all hands i fear. nary any crew survived, save myself. bates was a brave capt'n, but a drunkard. but we was lured in by a phantom lighthouse that did nay exist. i believes chicanery was afoot. i hope that by a miracle some others from 'THE WHORE' might've lived, but is doubtful. i am alive in this mean and hard place, and plan to keep it that way.
