Captain Lord Vesuvius Low
A scarred and weathered old ship captain from a distant land, born on the crest of a wave and rocked in the cradle of the deep. His cold eyes burn like golden embers lost at sea and his grim visage betrays neither tragedy nor comedy, merely the steel resolve of a killer. Jewels and trinkets have been woven into his grizzly long hair and beard and his tanned, leathery hide is tattooed in ancient birds, beasts and sea monsters. He stalks the wreck and ruins with a blackened bottle of rum and an old, tarnished cutlass, looking for stragglers.
His worn, leather belt hangs loosely around his hips, a cutlass sheathed at each end. A pair of pistols are holstered to his sides. Across his back swings a tarnished heavy sword and an old hunting knife is tucked into his boot. His pack contains three pieces of conch shell and the head and hide of Grunk the Pale, along with various maps and looted treasures.
A dark messenger of the devil is often perched on his shoulder, usually taking the form of a parrot or a crow.
