Description:
You see a young man who has probably seen no more than 20 winters. He walks around in nondescript brown Nordic boots and dark green Nordic trousers that look very comfortable. His crimson Bocksten tunic and Nordic leather jerkin strike you as unimpressive, as he looks very mundane if he were in the Nordlands. You are taken aback by his beard and hair, as it is almost black!
Indeed, you have stumbled upon Skallkross Batungbacal, the bastard son of Nordic and Austronesian sailors. His father was a full blooded Viking pirate and his mother was an Austronesian sea raider preying on Chinese vessels.
Of course, you are now wondering how a Nordman and an Austronesian woman met? Well, see, his father was blown off course by a storm during a raid and he landed somewhere in what is now known as Canada. Now, the mother, was taken prisoner by a raid that went bad and was sent to accompany Chinese explorers who were exploring the Arctic oceans. Now, these Chinese explorers did not pay heed to the Vikings asking for directions and their fabled Junk were attacked by the fabled Longship and their flight took them all the way to the Caribbean islands, were the Vikings finally took over the ship and sunk it. The mother, seeing the brave Viking in action, pleaded to be taken away from the Chinese and her request was granted. So there.
Skallkross came to Shartak to look for his father, whose name he does not know, and landed at the area around the shipwreck. He carries only an iron machete-like bolo knife that his mother gave him and wears a leather braid around his neck on which hangs a hammer pendant from his father and a round brass disc with fine engravings from his mother.
