Har har, it be Red Will! He's a tall skinny bastard with a wild mop of flaming red hair, a bottle of rum in one hand and a deliciously curved cutlass in the other.
Red Will is a true pirate; from the top of his skull to the heels of his boots he is saturated with a lust for life, for adventure, and above all, for gold! He's as swift as a Nile crocodile with the tip of his cutlass, which he calls "Nimble Nellie", and has cut many a throat with her shining edge. Will owes no particular allegiance to anybody, and goes wherever and does whatever he wants, whenever the fancy strikes him. He is a man of the sea, a bird on the wind, and no low gale can dampen his wings!
While perhaps a little dangerous with a cutlass in his hand, which is always, Will is unlikely to harm you if you seem a good sort. But there is also a darker side to Will, for on evil stormy nights he sometimes casts off the mortal coil to fly laughing the laugh of the dead with Captain Van der Decken and his damned crew while they sail the coasts looking for lost sailors to press into service.
Red Will has travelled far across the island, round the wind-beaten northern point, through the jungle in places known only by old pirates, up into the surf of Shark Island, and further south to where outsiders drink and shout and shift their cargo across the sands beneath the shadow of the jungle. He swam across the terrible northern seas to the ragged cliffs of the cannibal isle, where he found and killed the cannibal god, and has seen deep things with the eyes of the dead.
